Steve Jung Wolverine concept

Artist Steve Jung posted some cool key art he did for The Wolverine, via Comic Book Movie.

Another day, another alternate villain discussed on the Daily Bugle Amazing Spider-Man 2 Tumblr. This time it's Big Man.

RIPD Concept

Alfonso De La Torre? (via CBM) posted some images of an unused beast for the climax of R.I.P.D.

Adrianne Palicki talked to IGN (via Superhero Hype) about playing Wonder Woman in a failed pilot a few years back:

I was devastated when it didn't go and it was expected to. It was one of those things that was shocking. But in retrospect it was probably a blessing. It would've been a really hard thing to shoot. And I got to wear the costume -- I should say, I got paid to wear the costume! So not many people get to say that. [laughs] I'm really blessed to have gotten to do that and maybe someday down the line I'll get to play that character or another awesome icon again.

Bruce Jenner Is Shaving Off His Adam's Apple

Bruce Jenner Is Shaving Off His Adam's AppleS
Khlo? Kardashian is reportedly filing for divorce from Lamar Odom today (four years, not bad!), but who cares about that: Her stepdad is getting his Adam's Apple surgically shaved off.
TMZ, which first reported on the gold medalist upcoming Laryngeal Shave, says the procedure is "typically done on patients who are in the first stage of gender reassignment."
Jenner, however, told the gossip site his decision has less to do with how he feels in his own skin than with how he feels in a turtleneck.
Having recently undergone surgery to remove a cancerous mass from his nose, Jenner, no stranger to cosmic electives, said he was paying his plastic surgeon a consultation visit to discuss fixing a post-op scar when the Laryngeal Shave came up.
"I just never liked my trachea," he told TMZ.
Bruce and Kris Jenner revealed back in October that they've decided to separate and have been living separate lives for some time.
"I'm finally free to do what I want and live life the way I want," Jenner was quoted as saying.

State tax revenue dips in November, up for the year

State tax revenue dips in November, up for the year - latimes.com

Last month's total of $6 billion was $375.6 million under estimates, Chiang said. But, revenue for the first five months of the fiscal year was $31.4 billion, ahead of budget predictions by $228.1 million.

QUIZ: How much do you know about California's economy?

Meanwhile, state spending since the July 1 start of the fiscal year was down $126.3 million from budget assumptions.

Chiang blamed the lower-than-anticipated November sales tax revenue on the Thanksgiving holiday and the Black Friday shopping frenzy occurring at the tail end of the month. As a result, $440 million of associated sales tax revenue was not collected until December.

The overall revenue flow and an improved economy have made the controller "cautiously optimistic" about the state's near-term financial situation.

However, he warned that lawmakers must "remain disciplined with our spending and pay down the billions of debt accrued during the Great Recession."

The boost in revenue, fueled by a booming stock market, growing employment and improved retail sales, has put California in a stronger budgetary situation than any time in the last decade, the independent Legislative Analyst's Office reported recently.

The analyst predicted that the treasury would roll up multi-billion surpluses in the coming years before a series of temporary tax hikes expire in 2018.
